Matthew 26

Today we are reading Matthew 26. In this chapter we read about Jesus and His disciples on the night He was betrayed. The keyword for this chapter is “a-day-mo-ne-o”. The definition is “to be troubled, to be distressed. It implies a restless distracted shrinking from some trouble or thought of trouble which nevertheless cannot be escaped.” “And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled.” Matthew‬ ‭26:37‬ ‭ESV‬‬ As you read this definition, what memories come to mind? When you are troubled what do you do for comfort? Often when I am troubled it is for someone else. Jesus was troubled for us. In Him we have peace.  Blessings, Pastor Tim
