Today we are reading Mark 1. In this chapter we read about the beginning of Jesus’ ministry. We read about His baptism, the calling of the first disciples and the beginnings of His ministry. “And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. And Simon and those who were with him searched for him, and they found him and said to him, “Everyone is looking for you.” And he said to them, “Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out.” And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons.” Mark 1:35-39 ESV Imagine what it must have been like to be Jesus in ministry. He woke up early and distanced himself from people so He could pray. Even then, His disciples searched and found Him and said, “Everyone is looking for you.” Sometimes I am exhausted by the unending challenges of life. I wish I could take a timeout. The ministry that God has called us too will not stop until we get to Heaven. The need for us to guide others to Jesus will be there until we breathe our last breath. So, when you are weary, remember Jesus and call on your Heavenly Father and He will give you strength. Pastor Tim
