Today we are reading Isaiah 48. In this chapter we read about God refining His people through the hardships they experience. “”For my name’s sake I defer my anger; for the sake of my praise I restrain it for you, that I may not cut you off. Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction.” Isaiah 48:9-10 ESV Do you remember a time when your faith was refined? What was the affliction that you endured? How did your faith grow stronger? Have you learned how to help others when they go through the same affliction? Ultimately, we know that even during our difficult times God is at work for our good. How can you encourage someone today? Pastor Tim
