Today we are reading Acts 4. In this chapter we are reading about the reaction of the Sadducees to the teaching of Peter and John. ”And as they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them, greatly annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they arrested them and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. But many of those who had heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to about five thousand.“ Acts 4:1-4 ESV This is hard for us to understand. Peter and John are teaching about Jesus and the rich Sadducees are annoyed. For this, they are arrested. Have you ever been mistreated for acting in a Christian manner? God will judge those who do and plot evil against His servant. If they do it to us, they are actually doing it to Jesus. God will judge them! Just keep on serving and teaching. Pastor Tim
