Today we are reading Isaiah 45. In this chapter we read about how God anointed Cyrus to be His chosen instrument to do His will. “Thus says the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed:” Isaiah 45:1 ESV It seems shocking that God would use a pagan king to do His will. The truth is that God can use anyone. The power is not in the person being used but in God who chooses and equips His instruments. May God inspire you to trust in His power and ability to work through you to do His will. Pastor Tim
