Today we are reading Revelation 16. In this chapter we read about the seven angels commanded to pour out God’s punishment on mankind. The keyword for this chapter is “thu-mos”. The definition is “anger, burning, blistering anger, the white heat of God’s anger”. “Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.” Revelation 16:1 ESV Why is God angry? Why is God commanding the angels to pour out His wrath on unbelievers? How does God’s wrath compare with yours? The angels said to God, “Just are you” and “Just are your judgements”. Only God is perfectly just or righteous in all that He does. His wrath is not a sinful reaction or an emotional outburst. May God bless you to respect His wrath and control yours. Pastor Tim
