Revelation 15

Today we are reading Revelation 15. In this chapter we read about the multitude who have overcome the beast. The keyword for this chapter is “ad-o”. The definition is “to praise, to sing”. “And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire—and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations!”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭15:2-3‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Many times I have watched Christians stand in church during a hymn and not sing.  I do not understand this.  As you read these verses in chapter 15 everyone is singing. They are standing in the presence of God holding harps and singing. Notice it does not say the worship team or the choir but simply “those who had conquered”. Who has conquered sin, death and the devil? If you have conquered in Jesus’ name then you have every reason to sing. May God fill you with the Holy Spirit so that you cannot contain your praise for God and you will lift your voice and sing!  Pastor Tim
