Psalm 82

Today we are reading Psalm 82. In this psalm we read about God challenging those in positions of authority to deal compassionately with the poor and needy. “God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”” Psalm‬ ‭82:1-4‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Have you ever been weak or needy? We are all called by God to use our position and resources to benefit those around us. What can you do today to help someone who is not in your position? How can you help the weak and needy? Who are the weak and needy within your reach? May you love them as you love yourself—as God loves you. Pastor Tim
