Today we are reading Micah 7. In this chapter we read about the faith of Micah in the face of national catastrophe.“But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.” “Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. You will show faithfulness to Jacob and steadfast love to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.”
Micah 7:7-8, 18-20 ESV How do you react to the national catastrophe we are experiencing? Micah seemed to be able to see beyond the present struggles to a time of blessings. Every struggle we face in this life is TEMPORARY. God’s love for us in Jesus is ETERNAL. The devil would have us believe the opposite. How can you defend yourself from the deception of the devil? May God keep you in His steadfast love! Pastor Tim
