I Today we are reading Mark 5. In this chapter we read about Jesus traveling and teaching. There are many points that you might teach about in this chapter but today I will focus on the last story. The keyword for this chapter is “kra-te-o”. The definition is “to take hold of”. “Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Talitha cumi,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.”” Mark 5:41 ESV The girl was dead but when Jesus took hold of her and commanded her to rise, she came back to life. In a similar way, we are born spiritually dead. When Jesus took hold of us by the Holy Spirit, He made us alive.” When did Jesus take hold of you?
