Mark 3

Today we are reading Mark 3. In this chapter we learn the names of the twelve disciples.  The keyword for this chapter is “pros-ka-le-o”. The definition is “to call to oneself, to summon”. “And he went up on the mountain and called to him those whom he desired, and they came to him. And he appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) so that they might be with him and he might send them out to preach and have authority to cast out demons.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭3:13-15‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Imagine you are part of the crowd following Jesus through the countryside. You hear Him teach. You hear Him command demons. Then, you hear Him call your name. Jesus knows you and He calls you by name! How does that make you feel? Not only this, Jesus calls you to follow Him, to serve Him and to teach others about Him. It is a high honor to hear Jesus call you by name. May you be inspired to live a life worthy of your calling! Pastor Tim
