Mark 16

Today we are reading Mark 16.  In this chapter we read about the resurrection of Jesus. The keyword for this chapter is “kay-ru-so”. The definition is “to preach, to proclaim”. “And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Look at the context of these words. What is the potential result of proclaiming the Gospel? Who is Jesus commanding to proclaim the Gospel? What is the condition of their faith at that time? Because the disciples obeyed Jesus command, the Gospel has been passed down through the centuries all the way to us. Indirectly Jesus’ command to proclaim comes down to us as the spiritual descendants of the disciples. How does it make you feel to be commanded to proclaim the Gospel? May God fill you with the consuming desire to give your life to proclaiming the Gospel! Pastor Tim
