Today we are reading James 2. In this chapter James writes about the relationship between faith and works. The keyword for this chapter is “er-gon”. The definition is “works”. Though neither ignored nor discounted, faith is regarded as complementing works, with which it must be combined. The contrast is between faith minus works and works minus faith and not between faith and works. “You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works;” James 2:22 ESV What are the works that complete your faith?
