Today we are reading Isaiah 26. In this chapter we read about the blessings of trusting in God. “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.” Isaiah 26:3-4 ESV “Perfect peace” sounds great, doesn’t it? When we are focused on Jesus He guides us away from fears and anxieties. When we draw near to God He draws us away from the things which cause us pain. For the people of Isaiah’s time they were going through national calamity which had a devastating impact on everyone. All they had left was their faith in God—but that is all they needed. This is true for us also. God is all we need. Jesus told His disciples, “Trust in God. Trust also in me.” May God give you His Holy Spirit to strengthen you to trust in Him! Pastor Tim
