Zechariah 11

Today we are reading Zechariah 11. In this chapter we read about Zechariah being called by God to be a shepherd of His people. “”Woe to my worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May the sword strike his arm and his right eye! Let his arm be wholly withered, his right eye utterly blinded!””
‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭11:17‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Zechariah is speaking against the shepherds (Kings and priests) who have been unfaithful to God. If the leaders are unfaithful the people will suffer. How have you been faithful in leading those around you? What can you do to be a better “shepherd” to the sheep (people) God has placed in your care? What is the purpose or goal of the shepherd? May God raise you up to be a great shepherd! Pastor Tim
