Today we are reading Romans 7. In this chapter Paul writes about the struggle every person has with sin. The keyword is “hru-o-mai”. The definition is “to rescue”. “The word is used to denote the act of a soldier who runs at his comrade’s cry to rescue him from the hands of the enemy”. Who is it who runs to rescue us from sin? God also works in and through us to rescue others. Think of a time God sent someone to rescue you…what did that feel like? Be that person for someone else! May God fill you with the Holy Spirit to speak the words of life into the heart of someone crying out for help! Pastor Tim
