Romans 4

Today we are reading Romans 4. In this chapter we read about the faith of Abraham and how this compares to our faith. “That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.” But the words “it was counted to him” were not written for his sake alone, but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.” Romans‬ ‭4:22-25‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This passage leads us to celebrate what is “counted to us”—God’s righteousness in place of our sin. How does God’s gift of righteousness empower you to live for Christ? What thoughts or emotions do you experience when you meditate on God’s gift of righteousness? May God fill you with the joy of your salvation today and every day! Pastor Tim
