Romans 11

Today we are reading Romans 11. In this chapter we read about the Jews who have rejected Jesus. “God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? “Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.” But what is God’s reply to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭11:2-5‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When I read about the remnant, I think of our current world situation. So many seem to be stirred up to speak and act hatefully. Only a small number of people are speaking and acting in God pleasing ways. What about you? Are you caught up in the rhetoric or are you a peacemaker? May the God of Peace equip you to calm the anxious. Pastor Tim
