Today we are reading Revelation 15. In this chapter we read about another vision with seven angels. “After this I looked, and the sanctuary of the tent of witness in heaven was opened, and out of the sanctuary came the seven angels with the seven plagues, clothed in pure, bright linen, with golden sashes around their chests. And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever, and the sanctuary was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the sanctuary until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.” Revelation 15:5-8 ESV The setting is absolutely beautiful! Compare that with what each of the angels is carrying—each has a plague and each has a bowl of wrath. Only God can hold the two opposites of beauty and destruction at the same time. God is Holy. God is also righteous in His wrath. It is crucial that we teach and believe both of these truths about God. How does this duality impact you personally? How does it affect your witness? May God impress upon you His true identity. Pastor Tim
