Today we are reading Revelation 11. In this chapter we read about another dramatic vision describing the end times. The keyword for this chapter is “na-os”. The definition is “temple”. “Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff, and I was told, “Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those who worship there,” “Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.” Revelation 11:1, 19 ESV This vision refers to the Temple in Heaven. The Temple is where God resides. When God formed the Israelites into His people He commanded them to build the Tabernacle and later the Temple in Jerusalem. Today the Bible tells us that our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit.
