Psalm 79

Today we are reading Psalm 79. In this psalm we read about waiting for the Lord’s justice. “How long, O Lord? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy burn like fire? Pour out your anger on the nations that do not know you, and on the kingdoms that do not call upon your name! For they have devoured Jacob and laid waste his habitation. Do not remember against us our former iniquities; let your compassion come speedily to meet us, for we are brought very low. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name’s sake!” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭79:5-9‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When we are under duress it seems like it will never end. Sometimes we won’t see things made right until we get to Heaven. We should not make it our life’s goal to seek worldly justice or peace or even restitution. Heaven is enough. More than enough. May God comfort you eternally with your temporary pain. Pastor Tim
