Today we are reading Psalm 62. In this psalm we again read that God is our salvation. “For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah” Psalm 62:5-8 ESV It is very clear that the psalmist puts his entire hope in God. Sometimes we encounter hardships that are like a refiner’s fire—purifying us of our impurities. We learn in these times that only God can help us. Everyone and everything else we turn to for comfort and salvation cannot help us. May God purify you today of all distractions from Him. Pastor Tim
