Today we are reading Psalm 52. In this psalm we read about a man who plots evil against David, God’s anointed. “Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man? The steadfast love of God endures all the day. Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, you worker of deceit. You love evil more than good, and lying more than speaking what is right. Selah You love all words that devour, O deceitful tongue. But God will break you down forever; he will snatch and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah” Psalm 52:1-5 ESV Have you ever been threatened by someone who wanted to harm you? How did you respond? David was threatened by those who were loyal to King Saul. As the political and somewhat spiritual leader of the people of God, you would expect them to be more godly! Saul and his leaders were more like pagans than faithful believers. How would Jesus respond to those who oppose you? What lessons do you learn when you are under attack? May God surround you with His Holy Angels to protect you in all your ways! Pastor Tim
