Today we are reading Psalm 47. In this psalm we read that God is King over all the earth. “Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm! God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne.” Psalm 47:6-8 ESV The writer of this psalm urges us to “sing praises” to God. Some people are silent in church. Why? God—the King of the universe—is your God. He loves you. He provides for you. You sent His son to die for you. He will protect you and keep you safe. He hears your prayers and answers them.
