Psalm 28

Today we are reading Psalm 28. In this psalm we read about God answering prayer. “Blessed be the Lord! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. The Lord is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed. Oh, save your people and bless your heritage! Be their shepherd and carry them forever.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭28:6-9‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Verse 9 refers to us as God’s “heritage”. What comes to mind when you think of “heritage”? I think of my ancestors and my descendants. My ancestors came from Europe and brought with them their culture and their faith. My descendants will carry forward what I have passed on to them. How do we carry forward what God has given us? What can you do today to pass along your spiritual heritage? May God bless all your descendants through your faith. Pastor Tim
