Psalm 26

Today we are reading Psalm 26. In this psalm we read about God rewarding those who do not follow the crowd of corruption. “O Lord, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells. Do not sweep my soul away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men, in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes. But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me.” Psalm‬ ‭26:8-11‬ ‭ESV‬‬ What is the crowd saying? What are you saying? At Jesus’ trial, the noisy rabble called out heartlessly, “Crucify him!” If you were in that crowd, what would you have said? During World War II, the Christians in Germany celebrated Hitler and turned a blind eye to the persecution of the Jews. What is the toxic narrative of today? Are you repeating the hateful divisive narrative? May God use you to make peace and bring His love to bear on the problems of our day. Pastor Tim
