Today we are reading Psalm 24. In this psalm we read about God’s glory and majesty.“Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle! Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah” Psalm 24:7-10 ESV The gates of a city were a very important place. The gates were where business was conducted, treaties signed, public declarations made and grand royal entrances made. The king often sat in a special seat near the gates. As believers, Jesus enters the gates of our hearts to bring His glorious reign to our lives. As a gate must be guarded to protect a city, our hearts must be guarded against the devil and all his schemes. The seeks to destroy us. How can you guard your heart? What can you do to prevent the devil from entering your gates? May God keep you safe and secure! Pastor Tim
