Today we are reading Psalm 20. In this psalm we read about God answering our prayers. “May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! May he send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion! May he remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” Psalm 20:1-4, 7 ESV What or who do you trust in? Whose words do you quote? Anything less than God will always give us less than we need. The words of humans are empty and weak. The word of God is powerful and satisfying to the soul. Verse 7 is one you can apply to your life. “Some trust in _________ and _________, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” May God’s word be on your lips and in your hearts. Pastor Tim
