Today we are reading Psalm 19. In this psalm we read about how all of creation speaks about God and how His Law is perfect. “Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:12-14 ESV This is a very familiar passage. Many times pastors pray verse 14 before they preach. These words apply to all Christians. Everything we say and everything we think is revealed to God. So, we are not free to spout off hateful words or accusations. God calls us to hold in check sinful thoughts and reign in our tongues. How have you been harmed by words that another person said? Do you think you have hurt someone else with your words? Let the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer! Pastor Tim
