Today we are reading Psalm 149. In this psalm we read about the people of God giving praise to God. “Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly! Let Israel be glad in his Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King! Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre! For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation. Let the godly exult in glory; let them sing for joy on their beds.” Psalm 149:1-5 ESV I love the idea of the godly singing for joy from their beds. I often think of the day ahead when I wake up in the morning. I pray about each detail of the day and ask God to bless it. In reading this psalm I think of those recovering from illness or surgery and confined to bed rest. Praise God from your bed! Pastor Tim
