Today we are reading Psalm 142. In this psalm we read about David calling out to God when he is hiding in a cave. “I cry to you, O Lord; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me! Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name! The righteous will surround me, for you will deal bountifully with me.” Psalm 142:5-7 ESV Have you ever found your self in a metaphorical “cave”? David was running away from Saul who pursued him with an army. What were you running away from? God is able to protect us from every enemy who would destroy us. May you find Him to be an ever-present help in your time of trouble. Pastor Tim
