Psalm 140

Today we are reading Psalm 140. In this psalm we read about David’s fear and pleas for help. “I say to the Lord, You are my God; give ear to the voice of my pleas for mercy, O Lord! O Lord, my Lord, the strength of my salvation, you have covered my head in the day of battle. Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; do not further their evil plot, or they will be exalted! Selah”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭140:6-8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Have you ever been so caught up in a conflict that your every thought was consumed with your opponent? David was consumed with his fear and anxiety about his enemies. He wrote these words from a place of fear. God does not abandon us when evil is all around us. When we are weak then he is strong. When we fully depend on Him instead of our own strength, then he comes through in a beautiful and glorious way. May this be your experience today. Pastor Tim
