Psalm 132

Today we are reading Psalm 132. In this psalm we read about God’s blessings connected to the obedience of His people. “If your sons keep my covenant and my testimonies that I shall teach them, their sons also forever shall sit on your throne.” For the Lord has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling place: “This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭132:12-14‬ ‭ESV‬‬ How have you been rewarded for obedience? When we obey the authorities we most often experience good things. Imagine if the opposite were your experience. How would you react if the authorities were corrupt, violent or racist against you? This is why we must pray for our leaders and those in authority. God establishes authorities to do good and to act justly. May you pray for those in authority today. Pastor Tim
