Today we are reading Psalm 114. In this psalm we read about the great power of God displayed in the Exodus. “When Israel went out from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his dominion. The sea looked and fled; Jordan turned back. The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs. What ails you, O sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back? O mountains, that you skip like rams? O hills, like lambs? Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, who turns the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of water.” Psalm 114:1-8 ESV Have you ever imagined what it would have been like to see the Red Sea opened up so God’s people could escape from their enemies? How would that experience impact your faith in God? This story was a huge part of the Jewish faith and every year commemorated in the Major Feasts. How much more the salvation we receive in Jesus! May God inspire you to trust in Him in all things. Pastor Tim
