Today we are reading Psalm 110. In this psalm we read about the Reign of the Messiah. “The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” The Lord sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies! Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours. The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.””
Psalm 110:1-4 ESV How does this psalm match up with Jesus? How does it not match up with Jesus? With all prophecy there is a now/not yet fulfillment. The now matches up with what Jesus was like at His first coming. The not yet fulfillment is what will happen at His Second Coming. How is His Second Coming both wonderful and terrifying? May God teach you to live every day like it is The Day! Pastor Tim
