Psalm 108

Today we are reading Psalm 108. In this psalm we read about God empowering us to be valiant. “I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth! Oh grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man! With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.” Psalm‬ ‭108:3-5, 12-13‬ ‭ESV‬‬
David writes about how we cannot have victory unless the Lord God goes with us into battle. How have you seen this to be true? When have you attempted to do battle without God? On the other hand, when has God given you victory? In everything you do, begin with prayer. What will you do today? Pause and go to God in prayer before you go any further. Pastor Tim
