Today we are reading Proverbs 25. In this proverb we read about the importance of speaking with care and wisdom. “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver. Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold is a wise reprover to a listening ear. Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest is a faithful messenger to those who send him; he refreshes the soul of his masters.” Proverbs 25:11-13 ESV When have you heard words of encouragement that refreshed your soul? I remember a friend who was like a confidant for me. I told him, “A good friend is someone who, when you mess up, knows you didn’t do a permanent job of it!” He answered, “maybe you didn’t mess up!” That bit of wisdom lifted me from my discouragement. Who needs to be encouraged by you today? Pastor Tim
