Today we are reading Philippians 4. In this chapter Paul instructs us on how to deal with anxiety. “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4-7 ESV Most people deal with some level of anxiety. What should we do? Paul’s says we should 1) offer prayers and supplications, 2) be thankful (make a list of your blessings) 3) let God’s peace guard your heart and mind. Usually when I am anxious I focus on my list of concerns and complaints. God wants us to focus on our lists of blessings. How would that change your attitude? May God’s peace guard you. Pastor Tim
