Philippians 1

Today we are reading Philippians 1. In this chapter we read about Paul’s imprisonment for the Gospel. Under the challenges of prison he contemplates his own death. “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith,” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:21-25‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Have you ever been in a place where you thought you might die? For a Christian, death results in our going to Heaven. We are sad to say goodbye but we know what awaits us is spectacular! We have a limited time here so management of our time is critical! If you knew you would die soon what you put on your “bucket list”? May God bless you to live with an urgency that is fueled by eternal considerations. Pastor Tim
