Micah 3

Today we are reading Micah 3. In this final chapter of Micah we read about the agonizing end of Assyria. They were arrogant and cruel people who destroyed their enemies without conscience. “Your shepherds are asleep, O king of Assyria; your nobles slumber. Your people are scattered on the mountains with none to gather them. There is no easing your hurt; your wound is grievous. All who hear the news about you clap their hands over you. For upon whom has not come your unceasing evil?” Nahum‬ ‭3:18-19‬ ‭ESV‬‬ God establishes kings and kingdoms to do good. They bear a heavy responsibility to administer justice with compassion. When they do not they bring suffering on themselves and the people they govern. Our entire world is suffering with this virus. We must humble ourselves and ask God what we should do. How have you been praying for our nation and world? What are you hearing from God? May God open the eyes and ears of your heart to see and hear His will. Pastor Tim
