Today we are reading Micah 1. In this chapter we read the prophecy of Micah against Israel. “The word of the Lord that came to Micah of Moresheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem. Hear, you peoples, all of you; pay attention, O earth, and all that is in it, and let the Lord God be a witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.” Micah 1:1-2 ESV Can you imagine that because of your sinful rebellion God is now against you? What does it mean that God is against you? How can you defend yourself? What is your response? Continue to rebel? Continue to sin? Remember, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” How can you reconcile with God? May God give you a broken and contrite heart so that you can walk every day with His blessings.
