Pastor A: Joe Meyer

Message Summary:

If we don’t look out for them, who will? If we don’t look out for the needs of the poor and disenfranchised, who will? If we don’t look out for the widows and the fatherless, who will? Of course the answer is “The Lord will” and the Lord will because bringing justice to those who are oppressed is yet another trait that is at the heart of God’s will. God is concerned for the widow and the fatherless, the poor and disenfranchised. Therefore, we should be too. “But” some will say, “they need Jesus not justice!” Some will say things like that…and “yes” and and “amen”, they need Jesus. But we dare never think it’s either Jesus or justice, it’s always Jesus and justice. Yes Jesus first…because the widow, the fatherless, the poor, the disenfranchised can have peace and joy and be blessed regardless of their situation, when they have the peace of Jesus in their lives. Our call as Christians however is to seek justice for those the world has left behind, therefore we are to be “Centered in Justice”.
