Matthew 8

Today we are reading Matthew 8. In this chapter we read about Jesus continuing His ministry after preaching on the mountain. The keyword for this chapter is “the-lo”. The definition is “to wish, to will”. “And behold, a leper came to him and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.” And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” Matthew‬ ‭8:2-3‬ ‭ESV‬‬ This account shows us a lot about our Savior Jesus.  First, it shows that He is willing to heal. Second, it shows that He is able to heal even an illness considered incurable medically.  Third, it shows that Jesus hears us when we call out to Him. Later, we find out that Jesus is willing to die for us and able to heal us of our sins. This is the greatest healing anyone can receive. Will you kneel before Him and submit to His will in your life? May God give you a demonstration of His will to love you today! Pastor Tim
