Matthew 5

Today we are reading Matthew 5. In this chapter we read about Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. The keyword for this chapter is “ma-kar-ri-oi”. The definition is “blessed, fortunate, happy.” “And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭5:2-10‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When you look at the list of blessed circumstances which is hardest for you? When is it hardest for you to believe you are blessed? Pray for God to show you the blessing.  Pray for God to release you to be happy in any and every circumstance.  God has and will continue to bless you!  May you feel His love and know how blessed you are!  Pastor Tim
