Today we are reading Matthew 27. In this chapter we read about Jesus’ crucifixion and death. The keyword for this chapter is “a-fi-ay-mi”. The definition is “to let go, to send away”. “And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.” Matthew 27:50 ESV With these simple words Jesus died. He let go of life so that we could receive eternal life. Think over your life…when have you let go of something very precious to you to benefit someone else?
