Matthew 18

Today we are reading Matthew 18. In this chapter we read about forgiveness—God’s forgiveness toward us and the forgiveness He requires from us. The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant drives this point home and concludes, “Then his master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’ And in anger his master delivered him to the jailers, until he should pay all his debt. So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:32-35‬ ‭ESV‬‬ God’s forgiveness given us through Jesus is the best part of our faith! However, we struggle to forgive others! Who do you have a hard time forgiving? When you think of someone you just can’t forgive you need to zero in with your prayers because this is a hindrance to you. If you say, “I won’t forgive them!” then God will not forgive you. Why do you think God requires you to forgive? May God’s mercy be part of everything you do! Pastor Tim
