Matthew 15

Today we are reading Matthew 15. In this chapter Jesus resumes His Galilean ministry with teaching and healing. “Jesus went on from there and walked beside the Sea of Galilee. And he went up on the mountain and sat down there. And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them, so that the crowd wondered, when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.” Matthew‬ ‭15:29-31‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When I read this passage, I think of how hard it must have been to transport all those people up the mountain to where Jesus was. How desperate those people were to receive what Jesus was giving! How hard do you work to be with Jesus? Where is Jesus on your list of priorities? I heard a story of a couple walking miles in the rain to and from church so they could receive the Lord’s Supper. May God give you a hunger and a desire for Him so that nothing hinders you from worshipping and serving Him. Pastor Tim
