Today we are reading Matthew 10. In this chapter we read about Jesus naming/choosing the Twelve Disciples. In this chapter Jesus gives many directions. The direction that seems most timely speaks about fear. “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:28-31 ESV In these days of a pandemic we struggle with fear. How do Jesus’ words give you comfort? When I see the little birds fluttering around outside my window I am reminded of how precious I am in God’s sight. It helps me not to worry about things when I know the creator of the universe is watching over me. May God give you constant reminders of His love. Pastor Tim
