Mark 6

Today we are reading Mark 6. In this chapter we read about the beheading of John the Baptist and Jesus healing anyone who touched the fringe of his robe. “When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored to the shore. And when they got out of the boat, the people immediately recognized him and ran about the whole region and began to bring the sick people on their beds to wherever they heard he was. And wherever he came, in villages, cities, or countryside, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and implored him that they might touch even the fringe of his garment. And as many as touched it were made well.” Mark‬ ‭6‬:‭53‬-‭56‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Sometimes I wonder why so many people were healed by Jesus in His ministry and we see relatively few. I am sure it is because the purpose for miracles in Jesus’ ministry was to draw people to see Him as the Messiah. We have the Scriptures. We have salvation which is the greatest healing. Still, from this side of Heaven a temporary physical healing seems pretty amazing. Help us Jesus,  to patiently endure the frailties of this life! Pastor Tim
