Today we are reading Mark 13. In this chapter Jesus talks about the End Times. The keyword for this chapter is “bdel-ug-ma”. The definition is “that which is detestable, abomination”. “”But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” Mark 13:14 ESV This passage refers to the pagan influence under their rule in Jerusalem and the Temple itself. The abomination is something that is detestable to God. What is it that is detestable to God? How does God react to these abominations? May God give you His Holy Spirit so that you know what is detestable and choose that which is pleasing to Him. Pastor Tim
